Sikhism is one of the major world religions with about 20 million adherents worldwide. Sikhs are Monotheistic. An important element in Sikh beliefs is tolerance. Sikhs are expected to tolerate other people worshiping differently from them. Sikhs believe that good actions are worth more than elaborate ritual, they believe that humans should be treated equally and value generosity towards those less fortunate. The American Religious Right could learn from Sikhism. [1]
