Physical Cosmology is the study of the whole Universe, its origin and future development. This refers to the study of asteroids, meteors, planets, suns, galaxies, clusters, etc., etc., and how these various phenomena interact with one another. While cosmology is a stand-alone field, observations in it aid in the understanding of geology and some aspects of chemistry and biology; in turn, these various fields aid in understanding phenomena observed in cosmology.

While much of cosmology has become apparent in modern times, it has existed in one form or another throughout human history, such as in the fields of astronomy and astrology (both of which have existed since prior to the founding of the Egyptian civilization).Physical Cosmology is the scientific study of the Universe and the scientific/speculative study of the Multiverse.
